About Mara
I grew up in a town with one traffic light and a diner that has served the same coconut cream pie since 1974. Maple Creek is not that town, exactly, but it rhymes with it.
I wrote my first book at the kitchen table between shifts and published it three years later than I meant to. Two books in, I still write in the early morning before anyone else is up, with coffee I forget to drink.
When I am not writing I am usually outside, or pretending the garden is under control. I answer every reply to my newsletter, so if something in a book stuck with you, tell me.
